The Belek region is located 30 kilometres to the east of Antalya, about a 10 minute drive from the airport along the newly constructed highway. It has become Turkey’s foremost golfing area, with six international golf courses in operation, and more under construction. Recently it was chosen by the Tourism Ministry to be a tourism model not just for today's tourist, but also for the tourist of the next thousand years! The region has six international golf courses, and 32 four or five-stars hotels and first-class holiday villages. All of the facilities that have been designated first-class provide an ideal atmosphere for families and meticulously offer many opportunities and services aimed at pleasing their guests. All the facilities offer floodlit tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, completely equipped health and fitness centres, play areas and much more. The town centres of Belek and Kadriye are both quite small, but are self contained and provide the necessary facilities you’d expect from a small coastal resort. As the tourism boom continues, the town centres are areas expected to be improved and enlarged to cope.
Property in Belek and Kadriye
The land in Belek is at slightly more of a premium than in Kadriye, meaning more small developments of apartments, and small villa complexes. There is very little real high rise in the area, apartment blocks typically being just 3 or 4 floors high. There is a lot of construction in the area, with new high quality 2 bedroom apartments starting from 70,000€ (and 1 bedroom apartments from just 60,000€!) New villas tend to be a lot more expensive, starting from approximately 180,000€, although resale villas can be picked up considerably cheaper but will need refurbishment. The land in Kadriye was originally farming land, and in recent years has been sold off in strips. This has led to developments of villas stretching in uniform rows away from the road. Almost all the propertes are villas, with apartments being reasonable rare due to the availability of land in the area. There are a lot of resale villas in this area, traditionally Turkish homes that are now being sold for foreign holiday homes. Many need refurbishment, but you can generally get much larger properties for your money in this area. Good sized three bedroom villas start from as little as €60,000, while new 3 bedroom villas on a complex start from around €150,000. | ||
